Based on the field monitoring data of the cross interchange transition station between the new Zhengzhou Metro Line 4 Guoji Road Station and the existing Metro Line 2, the deformation of the new foundation excavation support structure, the surface around the excavation and the main structure of the existing metro station during the construction of the metro interchange station in the water-rich sand in Zhengzhou was investigated. The research results show that the unloading of the foundation excavation, the reduced anti-buoyancy during removal of the retaining structure and the capping beam are the most direct causes of the uplift of the existing station structure. The deformation of each monitoring point is basically within the safety control range, which shows that the design of excavation support structure and the construction measures are reasonable. The research results have certain guiding significance and can be used as reference for similar projects.
