Abstract:The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with Xi Jinping at its core, places great emphasis on digital development and has explicitly proposed the Digital China strategy. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee clearly stated the need to 'accelerate digital development' and made systematic arrangements for it. As the construction industry continues to develop, the demand for comprehensive engineering consulting is becoming increasingly complex. Engineering consulting firms can enhance consulting efficiency, optimize consulting processes, and improve the accuracy of consulting outcomes through digital transformation and the introduction of advanced digital technologies. This paper focuses on the digital transformation of engineering consulting firms and introduces our company's self-developed full lifecycle digital management platform for engineering projects. It employs a combination of literature collection methods and case analysis to conduct research and discussion. Firstly, it provides a brief overview of the policy framework supporting industry digital transformation at the national level. Then, it explores how to build a digital management platform based on BIM from aspects such as the basic framework and fundamental functions. Finally, it offers prospects for corporate digital construction, indicating that digital transformation will become one of the core competitive advantages of engineering consulting firms.
