Abstract:Shield tunneling is one of the widely?used underground excavation construction technologies for urban rail transit tunnel projects. During shield excavation, affected by geological conditions and external factors, the tunneling of the shield machine will cause certain wear to cutting tools. When the wear reaches the threshold, it will pose risks to shield tunneling safety, and cabin entry for tool replacement must be carried out. Cabin?entry tool replacement is generally divided into atmospheric pressure cabin entry and pressurized cabin entry. To guarantee the safety of shield cabin?entry tool replacement, whole?process management and control shall be implemented by sorting out the key control points and supervision measures for cabin?entry tool replacement operations, so as to control the installation quality of replaced tools, improve the subsequent tunneling efficiency of the shield machine and ensure the forming quality of tunnels. Based on practical achievements of shield tunnel sections, this paper demonstrates the significance of whole?process management and control for cabin?entry tool replacement operations, and provides references for safety management and control of cabin?entry tool replacement in shield tunnel sections.
